Anue Systems Announces Net Tool Optimizer
Next Generation of 5200 Series Optimizes Network Visibility, Tool Utilization, and Staff Productivity
AUSTIN, TX USA; April 28, 2009. Anue Systems, the leader in network visibility solutions, today announced the second generation of its existing Monitoring Optimization product family: the Anue 5200 Series Net Tool Optimizer™. Building on significant successes of the Tool Aggregator generation, the Net Tool Optimizer represents the future of monitoring optimization.
The Anue 5200 Series Net Tool Optimizer directly addresses a key challenge facing Fortune 2000 data centers - namely the escalating need to manage and monitor enterprise networks with an ever increasing number of tools, including application monitors, security devices, protocol analyzers, and data recorders.
The first generation product optimized network visibility by aggregating traffic so tools can monitor more of the network and eliminated SPAN and TAP shortages. The second-generation, renamed the Anue Net Tool Optimizer, extends the solution to also optimize tool utilization and staff productivity.
New tool utilization capabilities help companies reduce costs by using fewer tools and by monitoring 10G links with less expensive 1G tools. The Tool Management View provides statistics on tool traffic to help manage utilization. Powerful Boolean Filters enable load-balancing of tools without the need to write complex line code in a CLI.
The Anue 5200 Series Net Tool Optimizer’s Dynamic Filtering™ and drag and drop GUI improve IT and security team staff productivity. Dynamic filtering automatically handles overlapping packets that occur when more than one tool needs to monitor the same access point and self-maintains as the network changes. Together with the product’s integrated GUI, filters can be created in minutes, as opposed to hours. Additionally, by eliminating manual making and breaking of temporary SPAN ports, troubleshooting time can be reduced by up to 60%.
