Storage networks have been elevated to the status of competitive weapons. Robust, redundant storage networks with geographically-dispersed data centers are essential to ongoing business operations. Anue’s Network Emulators precisely simulate a live SAN solution in a lab environment so you can test if your SAN delivers the required throughput and data integrity in the presence of significant latency.
Synchronous and asynchronous mirroring approaches provide unique testing challenges. With synchronous mirroring, data isn't written to primary storage until remote storage confirms it has received the mirrored data. This process syncs primary and secondary storage but also introduces latency because of the checking process. With asynchronous mirroring, the primary device does not wait for confirmation, which could result in a data mismatch in the event of a network failure.
Anue Network Emulators provide the versatility to test a wide range of synchronous and asynchronous storage extension implementations.
High latency delays of up to several seconds, depending on line rate
High bandwidth operation at up to 10G line rate, regardless of packet size or data rate
Generate impairments, including bit errors, frame/packet loss and total signal loss
Support a wide range of implementations, including:
Fibre Channel
Fibre Channel over ATM/SONET
Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCIP, FCoE)
FCIP over SONET S
CSI over IP (iSCSI) over Ethernet
Fibre Channel over SONET (using GFP or a proprietary technologies)
