Anue Systems names Pepe president, COO

Anue Systems Inc. has appointed former Freescale Semiconductor Inc. executive Alex Pepe as its new president and chief operating officer.
Pepe, who has served on board of directors for two years, was previously senior vice president at Freescale where he led global operations. Before that, he was general manager of an Illinois-based Motorola Solutions Inc. (NYSE: MSI) embedded microcontroller business segment. Pepe has held executive positions in strategy and business development, and factory operations and engineering, officials said.
Anue Systems, which was founded in 2002, develops network monitoring switches. The company employed 50 workers in 2008.
In June, Anue Systems CEO Hemi Thaker was one of four local business people recognized as Ernst & Young entrepreneurs of the year.
