Anue Systems’ CTO to Present at Ethernet Technology Summit

February 21, 2012

AUSTIN, Texas – February 21, 2012 Anue Systems, a leader in network monitoring switches, announced that its chief technology officer, Chip Webb, will present at the Ethernet Technology Summit to help organizations understand the complexity of moving from 1G and 10G networks to 40G networks.

The Ethernet Technology Summit in San Jose, Calif., Feb. 21-23, focuses on the use of Ethernet throughout the networking space with topics ranging from the latest advances in 40G Ethernet to the use of Ethernet in virtualized data centers and cloud environments. Mr. Webb will participate in the Tutorial T1-1B: 40/100 GbE is Alive and Well - Part 2 (Emerging Technologies Track), held from 3:10 – 5:30 p.m. PST on Feb. 22.

Mr. Webb’s presentation will discuss how the need to scale network bandwidth, realize cost savings and ease the complexities of network management is driving the transition to 40G networks. In addition, he will cover the complex challenges IT managers must consider before migrating to larger networks, including the lack of 40G security and performance monitoring tools, investment protection for existing monitoring tools, and how monitoring tools will keep up with the rapid increase in network bandwidth.

Anue Systems Leadership in Migrating to 40G Networks
Anue Systems creates products including the Anue 5288 Net Tool OptimizerTM (NTO) that help network engineers migrate to 40G networks and save costs by monitoring the rapidly growing number of 1G, 10G and 40G ports with existing monitoring tools. The Anue 5200 NTO devices allow for complete network visibility with the easiest drag-and-drop control panel in the industry.

Mr. Webb has more than 20 years of experience in the design and architecture of high-speed networking products. Prior to starting Anue Systems, he was a distinguished member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories, where he led teams developing fiber optic networks, HDTV and wireless communications. Mr. Webb has co-authored five technical papers and has been granted 17 patents, with eight pending.
